Dentists, Lights, and Eight Hours of Insanity

So, today was another day in the life of Chewbode. I sat through eight hours of insanity. Let me explain what insanity is: Doing something that you didn't realize you were going to do until someone (usually a more powerful or higher status person than you) tells you that you are going to do something, and you know nothing about what you are going to do. Oh, and you're doing it tomorrow. For eight hours. That's insane. Pretending that you like doing something for the sake of projecting an image to others, who probably don't care whether you like it or not, but you don't know if they care, and you still want to impress "just to be on the safe side". Enjoying The Next 3,600 Minutes…

The way we view time is weird. It's Friday; I've got two whole days and change before I'm sitting back at my desk in my office...So, as I'm sitting here, I start to think: "Wow, all night tonight, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday... The weekend is here. All that time awaiting my arrival!" Seems like a long time. There's so much I could get done.Then, I do a Chewbode thing. For whatever reason, I decide to look at this weekend ahead of me as hours, not days. The weekend converts to about 60 hours. Hmm. 60 hours. When I say it to myself, it sounds like less time than the 2+ days I was just thinking of.Deeper down the rabbit hole I go... Habs Have Not

I am a hockey fan. Actually, let me go off on this for a minute, as I once was a fan, then became a non-fan, then was a re-born fan... Wait a minute... Hold on a sec. I gotta straighten this out... I played hockey from the age of 8 to 16. It was a fun time; I was pretty good, but at the beginning of my sophomore year of High School, my family moved to Florida. Now, there are a lot of great things that have happened to me since moving here, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
