Last night I watched about a third of Tron with Millard. For some fucked up reason, the DVD freaked out (twice) at the point where Flynn is talking to RAM in the cell block right after he gets digitized. Oddly enough, the digitizing of the disc screwed up, and all these odd colored blocks were all over the screen while the inverted movie played in the background. Like I said, fucked up.So, after getting sick of that real quick, I popped in Spider-man and we watched that. Frank, Vlad, and That Hairy Dude…
So, this weekend I saw Van Helsing at the local theater. Pretty good movie, in general. I thought the special effects were pretty good, but the story needed a bit more. Overall, was just a good ol' action movie. My wife's been a big horror movie fan since she was a kid, so she got a big kick out of seeing the monsters on screen. Oh, and she sited Hugh Jackman as a good reason to see it also. I dunno... I think Hugh could easily be the next Harrison Ford. He was good in Kate & Leopold; it really showed he can play parts that have nothing to do with blockbuster super heroes, etc. Of course, when he does play a blockbuster super-hero, he kicks ass. Snikt! Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that I finished Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Great game. I highly recommend it...
